CDCP (Canadian Dental Care Plan)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is part of the Canadian government’s efforts to provide dental care services to eligible individuals, particularly those who don't have other dental benefits, are making less than $90,000 family net income and have filed their taxes last year with the CRA as Canadian residents.
The program covers most dental procedures and, while it covers the bulk of costs associated with dental procedures, it is NOT a form of "free-dentistry" as some people are only covered 40% or 60% based on their income. Moreover, some procedures are not covered or are partially covered which could cause you to incur some extra expense.
